Ford Pickups Speak for Themselves-With Greater Sales than Chevy

If you saw the big game (the Super Bowl, obviously) last Sunday, you know that Ford was left with a bitter taste in its mouth from a certain Chevrolet advertisement, which focused on the Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The commercial revolves around an apocalypse with three survivors, all of which are fittingly driving Chevrolet vehicles. When one of the survivors asks where the fourth friend in the posse, Dave, is, he receives the response, "Dave didn't drive the longest- lasting, most dependable truck on the road. Dave drove a Ford."1. While this advertisement is clearly targeted at the Ford truck line as a whole, we at Pearson Ford, located at 10650 North Michigan Road Zionsville, IN 46077, aren't worried at all. "Why," you may ask?  Because we've looked at the stats, and Ford rises above the competition.

Ford Fashions Old Plastic Bottles into Sporty Seat Covers

With green initiatives and environmental concerns in the news every day, Pearson Ford is sure our drivers are aware that one of the biggest environmental offenders is the plastic water bottle. Presently, less than a third of plastic bottles in the U.S. get recycled, even though they can be put to great post-consumer use. Ford is aware of these issues, and the company has taken its dedication to green initiatives to a new level by recycling around two million of these plastic bottles (in partnership with the REPREVE company) to create seat materials for the upcoming Ford Focus, specifically its Electric variant.

Ford Fusion Takes "Best in Show" at 2012 Detroit Auto Show

The North American Auto Show, held in Detroit at the beginning of every year, is known for showcasing glamorous, luxurious models and the coolest new concepts. It's also known for giving out the "Best in Show" award, as determined by Autoweek.

The Ford Taurus: A Legacy, Past and Present

The Ford Taurus has always been a popular part of the Ford lineup, especially for individuals and families looking for a vehicle with great value and unmatched reliability. The Taurus was originally introduced in 1986 and has stayed in almost-continuous production for more than 20 years. This makes the Taurus the fourth oldest Ford model available in its lineup.

Ford F-150 EcoBoost Sales Soar Past 100k

It seems the times, they are a'changin'.  We have to admit, when Ford premiered the 2011 Ford F-150 EcoBoost V6, the "eco" label reminded us a little of dreadlocks and tofu instead of the usual V8 rumble we have come to associate with the F-150 model.  Now, however, Pearson Ford, your Indianapolis, IN Ford dealer, can proudly boast that the Ford brand has met its 2011 goal of selling 100,000 Ford F-150 models in 2011, just as it promised.

Overall, the new F-150 EcoBoost made up 40 percent of total F-150 sales, despite a price increase of about $900 compared to the F-150 5.0-Litter V8 variant. Plenty of other, traditional 2.7-liter V6 models were sold as well, and overall, the V6 variants made up 50 percent of this Ford model's sales. This pushes against the trend of heavy V-8 engines in the past several years. In fact, it hasn't been since the mid-1980s that this many V6-egined F-150s have moved off car lots.

It seems that consumers desire not only raw power, but fuel efficiency as well. The EcoBoost has an impressive 365 horsepower, yet it still manages to 15-20 percent better mileage. That extrapolates to 16 mpg city/23 highway for the EcoBoost engine when compared with 13 city and 18 highway for the V-8 engine. The least expensive EcoBoost, a regular-cab XL featuring an eight-foot bed and RWD, starts at $25,440, while the most expensive still manages to stay right around $50k and is a 4WD Platinum SuperCrew with a slightly smaller bed.

Ford Evos - Too Hot To Drive?

Makers of the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta know a few things about designing gorgeous autos. But is the Evos concept too technologically advanced for most buyers?

Evos is a futuristic design from Ford. This all electric car looks like something out of 'Minority Report.' The vehicle might be Ford's next flagship, or take over as a design for pre-existing models.

The American auto maker will debut the car at 'Consumer Electronics Show' in…

40MPG x 3=Ford

From our experience serving drivers in the greater Zionsville area, the majority of car buyers share one commonality. They don't want decent fuel economy or satisfactory fuel economy. They want excellent fuel economy. This is among the many reasons Pearson Ford is often drivers' last stop, even if it's their first. See, while Pearson Ford still offers more rugged, determined trucks and SUVs, we also offer three of the most fuel-efficient, models on…

Ford is taking yet another giant technological leap ahead of its peers. To attract even more attention to the ground-breaking project, Ford also took the podium at the "Health and Wellness Connectivity Services on the Go" panel discussion, at last week's Wireless Health 2011 Conference…
