Ford has tapped its first 67 dealerships to roll out the new 2012 Ford Focus Electric this spring, which might seem like an easy decision, but harboring the new EV requires a lot of work from these dealerships. To become certified to sell the vehicle, dealerships must meet strict electronic vehicle guidelines put in place by the brand, including participation in highly specialized EV training and the instillation of at least two onsite charging stations.

Freddie Ford is Back in Action!

Who is Freddie Ford, you may ask? Well, he's not so much a "he" as an "it," although we suppose that could be up for discussion. Freddie Ford is a robot created by American automaker Ford which first made its debut at the 1967 Texas State Fair. Ford has brought Freddie back out of storage in honor of Robotics Week and to highlight the  installment of around 700 robots at its Louisville Assembly Plant, which will be building the updated 2013 Ford Escape.

Ford Reaches Out to Tornado Victims with $100k Donation

American automaker Ford is truly concerned about its drivers around the country and worldwide. Along with this large contribution, Ford will also match donations by its employees, which include donation collections at Louisville Assembly, Kentucky Truck, and Sharonville Transmission plants. The total expected contribution is expected to be around $100,000.

Ford has been teasing us with its Ford B-Max concept for quite some time. It was originally supposed to roll off Romanian production lines sometime at the end of last year, but it seems that drivers will have to wait a bit longer. However, it seems like Ford is really putting some thought into the vehicle, so we here at Pearson Ford, located at 10650 North Michigan Road Zionsville, IN 46077, are happy to stay patient.

Ford Pickups Speak for Themselves-With Greater Sales than Chevy

If you saw the big game (the Super Bowl, obviously) last Sunday, you know that Ford was left with a bitter taste in its mouth from a certain Chevrolet advertisement, which focused on the Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The commercial revolves around an apocalypse with three survivors, all of which are fittingly driving Chevrolet vehicles. When one of the survivors asks where the fourth friend in the posse, Dave, is, he receives the response, "Dave didn't drive the longest- lasting, most dependable truck on the road. Dave drove a Ford."1. While this advertisement is clearly targeted at the Ford truck line as a whole, we at Pearson Ford, located at 10650 North Michigan Road Zionsville, IN 46077, aren't worried at all. "Why," you may ask?  Because we've looked at the stats, and Ford rises above the competition.

Ford Fashions Old Plastic Bottles into Sporty Seat Covers

With green initiatives and environmental concerns in the news every day, Pearson Ford is sure our drivers are aware that one of the biggest environmental offenders is the plastic water bottle. Presently, less than a third of plastic bottles in the U.S. get recycled, even though they can be put to great post-consumer use. Ford is aware of these issues, and the company has taken its dedication to green initiatives to a new level by recycling around two million of these plastic bottles (in partnership with the REPREVE company) to create seat materials for the upcoming Ford Focus, specifically its Electric variant.
