If you thought you couldn't enjoy driving a new Ford Super Duty truck any more than you can now, hold on to your horses. Ford has announced it will be introducing its most luxurious large truck ever. The new Ford Super Duty Platinum will have a plethora of new features, including: a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear-view camera, standard navigation, Ford's MyTouch touch-screen entertainment system, a climate-control system, and a wood-grain dashboard. The dashboard even includes special knobs so workers wearing gloves can easily use them!
We know what you're thinking, readers. We realize that ford has sold a high-end Platinum version of its Ford F-150 lightweight truck since 2009, which is an option around ten percent of buyers choose. Now, however, the larger Super Duty truck line will see this feature as well. Super Duty Trucks are truly powerful, with a towing capacity of 17-thousand pounds or greater.
Though Ford has yet to announce pricing for the new Super Duty Platinum, prices should be a good bit higher than standard models. The highest-priced, top-of-the-line Ford F-250 Super Duty has a starting MSRP of $50,000. With all of the amazing features though, an increased price could be worth the investment.
