Ford is no stranger to bold moves when it comes to caring for those who are less fortunate. The company's latest daring venture is the 2013 Ford Escape Hunger Drive, in which it's partnering with Feeding America- the United States' largest hunger-relief organization.
The event will kick off in various cities across the U.S., and guests will have the opportunity to experience all that the 2013 Ford Escape has to offer, from its active park assist and Blind Spot Information System to its hands-free liftgate and EcoBoost engine. Guests will be able to view, drive, or ride in the new SUV. For each guest that attends the event, Ford will donate 40 meals to Feeding America. Overall, Feeding America expects to help provide more than 1.2 million meals to people in need during the campaign.
Crystal Worthem, Ford Brand Content and Alliances Marketing Manager, explains, "Ford has always embraced helping people in need, and this is a good way to give back to the community, while simultaneously showcasing the all-new Escape. For the first time, Ford is linking its charity support with bringing a new vehicle to market."1
