Ford's Global Vehicle: The 2012 Ford Focus

It's big. Maybe not in size, but in value and technology it's pretty awesome. Presenting the all new 2012 Ford Focus.

Mark Ford, President, Ford of the Americas, says "The launch of the Focus couldn't come at a better time."1 And, with gas prices inching closer to the $4.00/gallon mark, every day, we couldn't agree more. Boasting 40 mpg/gallon, the celebrated compact is expected to be among the world's most-wanted cars.

Ford is preparing themselves for an incredible demand, and is already gearing up to produce two-million units of the 2012 Focus. To meet their multi-million unit goal, the American automaker has four-thousand workers building the vehicles on two shifts at their Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan. A third shift may very well be added, depending on initial 2012 Ford Focus sales. Currently, the facility is responsible for building four-door and five-door hatch models. Later in 2011, it will begin work on the Ford Focus Electric and eventually the C-Max.
