How to Winterize Your Vehicle - Indianapolis Auto Repair

Can you believe we had our first snow in Indianapolis last week?  That said, we want all our our customers and friends to be well-prepared on the slippery, icy roads and cold conditions that are still to come this winter in Indiana.  In our October 2010 newsletter, we provided these Winterizing tips for your car or truck:

*Consider using snow tires.
*Check your tire pressure regularly.
*Make sure your vehicle's four wheel drive system is working properly.
*Change the engine oil and adjust the viscosity grade.
*Inspect the belts and hoses.
*Check the battery.
*Check the antifreeze mixture.
*Carry and emergency kit inside the car.

We would like to add that you should also consider keeping a couple warm blankets and non-perishable food items inside your vehicle.  You can never be too prepared when it comes to Midwestern snow storms!  Take care of all the vehicles in your family with these tips, and never hesitate to call Pearson Ford if you have any questions or need assistance.
