We know the importance of finding the right car...especially if it is your first time purchasing one. So, here are Pearson Ford's Top Ten Tips for Car-buying Newbies...
1. Have a budget and know what you can and can't afford. There are cars in every budget, and you need to have a dollar amount in mind before you start looking.
2. Do your research...online. Many and most dealerships offer great deals and internet specials. Be sure to a check reviews and customer testimonials, too.
3. Visit several dealerships until you find one that you are completely comfortable doing business with.
4. If you plan to buy a used car, always ask for the vehicle history.
5. Always consider the maintenance and repair costs of any car/truck...this may affect your decision to buy a new or used vehicle.
6. Get a free credit report and know your score. This can affect your finance rate and monthly payments.
7. Test drive...that's the fun part anyway, right?
8. Keep safety and dependability in the back of your mind at all times. These are many times forgotten when choosing a car for the first time.
9. Unfortunately, this purchase can not be returned if you decide you hate the color, size, etc. So, again, choose wisely.
10. Ask questions! The sales consultants are there to help and want to answer all your questions and address your concerns.
Buying a car should be fun, not stressful. So, after you do all of the above, be sure to enjoy the experience as well!
