It's a Great Time to Buy (and trade)!

According to MarketWatch.com, there couldn't be a better time than right now to trade in your used vehicle for a shiny, new one.

Here is a snippet from the July 8, 2010 report:

New cars are loaded with deals and rebates while a dearth of used cars is driving up those prices. As a result, the gap between new and used cars is unusually narrow with the cost of some used cars exceeding those for new. That means consumers can get a premium on their trade-in, and a new car at a bargain.

But buy now because this unusual convergence likely won't last into fall.

"I can't see any better time to pull the trigger on a new car," said Mark Ragsdale, who owned and operated car dealerships and is the author of "Car Wreck: How You Got Rear-Ended, Run Over and Crushed by the U.S. Auto Industry."
